How to Find Everything New on Netflix at Any Time (Without Using Netflix)
|If you’re a Netflix junkie, you know the drill by now: you come home from work, kick off your shoes, decant that red you’ve been saving all week, and fire up Netflix. You then spend the next 45 minutes scanning through every single movie or TV show on the service to make sure you haven’t missed anything that’s a better candidate than that which you have already scrolled past.
One good way to save yourself some time is to just concentrate on new Netflix content. And while you can find that within Netflix’s Recently Added category, you’re still going to have to pull up Netflix to see it—that might not be an option while you’re at work, browsing around at the wine store for something to pair with your films, or on the train speeding home to your couch.
Instead, consider checking out New on Netflix. As its name implies, the website tracks all the latest (but not necessarily greatest) content arriving on Netflix—as well as anything Netflix has opted to remove from its service. All the new televisions shows and movies are presented chronologically, complete with promotional art, a listing of the Netflix categories you’ll find them in, aggregated ratings from sources like Rotten Tomatoes, and a handy link for viewing the content directly on Netflix.
For shows you find yourself drawn to, you can even sign up for email updates to receive notifications about new episodes you should watch, any removed content, or potential expiration dates—steel yourself in advance, in case Netflix is planning to kill your favorite content.
Most importantly, you can sign up for the site’s RSS feed—assuming you still use those—for a handy way to receive regular updates about new Netflix content on any device you’re using. You’ll never miss new Netflix content ever again, nor will you have to spend an hour scrolling through Netflix to decide what to watch (now that you can spend your lunch hour scrolling through Netflix content on a website).
