Google Request Indexing & Submit URL Feature Working
For the past couple of months or so, we have been reporting on changes to the request indexing and submit URL Google tool because of abuse and spam. Those limits were set aggressively for quiet some time but as of this morning, SEOs are saying they can now submit URLs freely to Google again.
A Black Hat World thread has several SEOs now able to submit URLs to Google via Google Search Console’s Fetch as Google or the submit URL feature in search without any issue. I personally tried it myself without any issue as well. No errors, it just does it.
Here is a screen shot of the Fetch as Google approach:
Here is the submit URL in search that worked:
I did find it interesting to see some of those SEOs say what type of URLs they are submitting to Google (this came from the thread):
They are spam gsa links to 4 different pages on 1 site. Also tried some gsa links to a 1 other different site. They are indexing like they used to. I’m using the info: command to check before and after.
This is why we can’t have nice things…
So I wouldn’t be surprised if it stops working again soon? Does it work for you?
